On a faithful day 15/07/2025 an innocent customer was scrolling through the app jiji looking for a fairly used iPhone X and he found a piece of this phone for an attractive price but with a little technical difficulties (No Face Id), so the buyer tried purchasing the item with an intention of a swap with his iPhone 6s.

In recent interviews with the victim of this scam this is what he said:

""i wanted to change my phone from iphone 6s to x …. buh i came across him online he was selling an iphone x no face ID for 130k and i wanted to swap so i told him i would add 70k and my iphone 6s to get the iphone x he agreed so i sent him 50k in advance but the guy said i was gonna get the phone on saturday which has passed that day came and i didn’t get anything i contacted him for like how many hours he didn’t reply untill he replied that saturday saying that he went to the hospital and he was sorry that he will deliver it on monday but monday came and went and i didn’t receive anything after that i have been messaging him since buh he hasn’t replied and i’ve called him buh still no response.""

Through investigating  thoroughly it shows that the number the scammer gave the purchaser of the phone to message him on for further details and payments was a hacked WhatsApp number.  Here's a view of the hacked WhatsApp below 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

After more and more investigations it was discovered that the account number in which the payment of #50,000 was delivered to was on Whatsapp, so experts decided to message the number and play along with the owner of the number at which the transaction was taken place in the account and it was discovered that the supposed seller was a woman who lived in MOWE and just graduated from TAI SOLARIN UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, below are pictures of the woman derived from the investigation👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

So far the scammer hasn't been caught yet but we believe she will be caught with the effort of everyone supporting this case, thank you
